This apple dip is a favorite food at our house year round. I love to take it to picnics because it is so easy to put together and when my family finds out that apple dip is on the menu they can hardly wait for the meal!
I enjoy typical apple dips with the caramel but I really wanted something with the same wonderful flavor but a real food flare that I didn’t mind watching my children shovel in. That is what this apple dip is for us. It is creamy, smooth and loaded with sweet cinnamon and maple flavor that was just meant to be on a juicy apple.
It is super simple to throw together and makes a great snack, dessert or side dish! My only word of advice is to guard it from double, or in our family, triple dippers. Sometimes you just have to dish out individual portions.
Cinnamon Maple Apple Dip
2 blocks cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup brown sugar OR pure maple syrup
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons cream
2-3 drops Thieves Vitality essential oil (optional: adds great additional flavor, but it is great without it too.)
1. Place all ingredients into a mixer bowl and whip on medium high until smooth and creamy. Scrape down sides if needed and mix a little more.
2. Place in a bowl, chop up your apples and enjoy!
